Discord Integration - Privacy Policy

RO. Nation LIVE lets a Roblox-signed-in member connect a Discord account. This page covers that Discord OAuth connection. The Discord bot privacy policy covers linking by short code.

We are independent of Discord. Discord's privacy policy governs what happens on Discord's own site.

We request the 'identify' scope. We use your Discord user ID, username and display name to identify the account you are connecting. We do not request the 'email' scope, your password, server list, or access to your messages.

We use a short-lived access token to request your profile during the connection. We do not store that Discord OAuth token as a long-lived account credential.

If the connection succeeds, we store a link between your Roblox account and Discord user ID, your Discord display name or username, and when the link was created or updated. This is the same link record the bot can create.

A Discord account cannot be linked to two Roblox accounts at once. If it is already linked elsewhere, the connection is refused. A failed connection does not create a new link record.

During the OAuth redirect, we set short-lived state and return-path cookies to prevent request forgery and send you back to the right page. See our Cookie Notice. Your existing Roblox session is required and is described in our Privacy Policy.

The link lets you supply a Discord identity for a crew application and lets authorised features recognise the same member across Roblox and Discord. It is not a separate login to the staff or partner portal; those portals check Roblox account permissions.

The Discord identity you submit with an application is visible to the crew reviewing that application. Authorised staff and the connected bot may use the link where needed. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

The link remains until it is replaced, unlinked or your associated account is deleted, subject to any lawful retention exception. You can unlink it from your account page or through the bot. Disconnecting the app in Discord does not by itself delete a link already stored here.
